This Privacy Policy explains what limited information the NitroPing bot (“the Bot”) processes when you invite and use it on your Discord server, how that information is used, and your choices. It also covers the public website at nitroping.silent-ember.com.

What data we process (bot)
NitroPing aims to store the minimum data needed to function:

Purpose: send boost / boost-loss embeds and manage configured roles.

How we use the data
- Send server boost and boost-loss notifications.
- Add/remove booster roles when a member starts or stops boosting.
- Display booster duration with the
/boosterscommand. - Maintain service health with minimal error logs.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Performance of a contract / legitimate interests — operating the bot you invited.
- Consent — your server admins configure the bot and provide the data.
Retention
- Guild configuration — kept while the bot remains in the server.
- Per-user boost state — kept while relevant to booster role management and duration display.
- After bot removal — purged within 30 days.
- You can request deletion at any time via the support server.
Sharing & transfers
- Discord — NitroPing exchanges data with Discord’s API.
- Silent Ember Hosting — stores JSON configs and server logs.
- No data is sold or shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Security
- Data stored as local JSON files with restricted access.
- Minimal data kept, no sensitive secrets stored in guild configs.
Website
- Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) may be collected.
- No analytics or tracking cookies unless explicitly stated.
Children
The bot is intended for general audiences and server administrators. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights & requests
- Access / Deletion — Server owners may request a copy or deletion of stored guild data.
- How — Remove the bot and/or open a ticket in the support server with your guild ID.
- EEA/UK/California — You may have additional rights under local laws; contact support to exercise them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date and announced in the support server.
